A recent project for a client featured a primary suite laundry room as part of their overall home addition, and they could not be more thrilled with their home’s new feature!

Gone are the days of trekking down the stairs to do their laundry, folding it, and then hauling everything back up to put it away. Instead, the laundry facility is central to both their bedroom and closet, allowing the couple to launder on demand, and then put away items easily. While they had limited space to give to a laundry “room”, we were able to carve out a small area between their primary bathroom and ensuite closet for this purpose. A washer/dryer combination allows the couple to wash and dry in one machine, so minimal square footage is required. A beautiful quartz countertop serves as a folding counter, and houses laundry bins underneath. A tile backsplash serves as a resilient material for damp clothing and coordinates with their adjacent primary bathroom. A hanging bar can easily be added later should the couple decide they would like one.
