Summer Home Hurrah
August is the last hurrah of summer. The weather’s warm and in the pacific northwest, there’s a multitude of ways to enjoy our long summer days. While we don’t want to detract from the last of the summer season, here are some things to fit in when you can:
- Finish up your outdoor projects. The good weather is waning, so now is the time to focus and accomplish those tasks you set out to do earlier in the summer.
- Get in any last minute trips. You have just a little bit of time left for your getaway. Make your plans and do it!
- Get organized for school. Have family members try on clothes and shoes and donate any that are too small. Take stock of what you’ll need to replace and get to shopping.
- Process any backyard bounty. Now is the time your garden is offering up whatever goodies you’ve grown. Don’t let that hard work go to waste, instead get going on preserving your harvest!
- Give your house a good vacuum and steam mop since you’ve undoubtedly been going in and out a lot this summer.
Enjoy the last dog days of summer!
