Hardworking Redmond Bathroom Remodel

A busy Redmond couple contacted us to redo their hall bathroom. They had elderly family members moving into the basement guest room and so the third bathroom would become the primary for them versus an alternative option for the family’s three children. This meant that in addition to serving guests, the hall bathroom needed to functionally accommodate the children, ages 14, 15, 17, daily, which was no small feat. The room was dated, consistent with its 1993 build date, making it ready for a remodel.

The footprint of the new kids’ bathroom room remained the same – two Toto undermount sinks in a cherry wood Medallion vanity replaced the old builder grade version. The family selected matte black Kohler Parallel faucets, Nouveau over-vanity lights and other accessories which really popped with the Cotton White Quartz countertop from Pental. A large double vanity mirror, also in matte black from Rejuvenation finished the first area of the bathroom. The second area of the bathroom containing the new shower and toilet was separated from the vanity area by a pocket door. This set-up was ideal for allowing multiple people to get ready for the day with a modicum of privacy. The Kohler Tub had a tile surround in Lumina ceramic tile in the Bianco Line Pattern and features a Delta multi-function matte black shower head. The remodeled bathroom features a new Toto toilet with soft close lid, ideal for the quick getaways typical for busy kids. Finally, the children loved the small bathroom upgrades their parents selected in the form of heated tile floors in Ash and the electric towel warmer, especially on cold school days.

This hard-working space is now ready for family and guest use alike.
