March Spring Cleaning

After a long winter, it’s always good to usher in the change in season with a fresh feel to your home. As you transition from your winter wardrobe to a spring one, consider donating things you didn’t wear this season to your favorite local charity. Take your ‘keep’ pile to the dry cleaner on the way so you can put your winter clothing away clean and ready for next year.

Evaluate seasonal décor to see if it’s in good shape or if you like it enough to use it again.  If it is, store it away until next year. If not, put it up on a local sale/donation site so that it can get a second chance at life. Once your closets are spring cleaned, tackle vacuuming out the heat registers and vents, and don’t forget to change out the furnace filter!

Finally, check your bedding to see if it’s time to remove some of the extra winter layers. Just a small rise in temperature makes a big difference at night.
