Working on long-time clients Mike and Nancy’s covered outdoor patio has been like most of our projects with them – fun. Generally gregarious and easy-going people, they wanted an outdoor living area that they could use year-round in the PNW climate. Their backyard was pretty standard, and after upgrading much of the interior of their home over the last few years to include a remodeled kitchen, wine storage, several bathrooms, and a bonus room, they were ready to focus on their outdoor living space.

A covered patio area and a fireplace were always part of their wish list for their exterior home addition. From there, the design developed to include a gas fire pit featuring silver stacked stone travertine on the rounded bench, new concrete patio, shed, and French drainage system.  New French doors replaced the previous sliding door, and a 38 inch built-in Delta Heat gas grill with an infrared burner and interior halogen light and azul celeste granite solid surface countertops provide a beautiful and functional food prep and cook surface. Exterior bench lighting creates the perfect ambiance for night-time dining.

Now, Mike and Nancy are ready to enjoy their home year-round, in any weather, at any time.
