Sophisticated Sammamish Home Bar
After completing a full kitchen remodel for Tammy & Matt, they also wanted their adjacent family room upgraded. Included in the upgrade were wider, beautiful moldings to the doors, windows, and passthrough, highlighting both the indoor and outdoor beauty of their Sammamish home. A mantle in the same finish as the moldings was added to the brick fireplace offering an updated aesthetic to this cozy feature while still honoring the classic feel. Finally, they desired an upgrade to their home bar.
Like the kitchen, the oak cabinets and tile countertops of the bar were dated. Since the kitchen is visible from the bar area, Tammy & Matt opted to go with a Merit Highland cabinet in Maple wood painted in graphite to match those in the kitchen. The original upper cabinets were short, so they chose a glass-fronted upper cabinet that went to the ceiling to make use of all available space while showcasing their favorite glassware. A subway style tile in the color Lace was chosen as a backsplash offering a clean, modern look. The Swanbridge quartz countertop from Cambria provides a clean, sophisticated look. Overall, the increased cabinet size maximizes the bar’s storage capacity while giving the living room a classically beautiful look. See more kitchen upgrades from their project here. Cheers!
