Making Cocktails Out of Chaos

After a 2023 windstorm damaged the exterior of their home, the Matthews sought out McAdams Remodeling & Design to not just repair the exterior of the dining room but also upgrade the interior to better fit their lifestyle.

A new picture window replaced two smaller ones on the damaged side of the house letting in more light. The damaged siding was replaced and painted to match the existing, and a new structural beam provided needed support above the window. Regained space on the inside allowed the couple to add a new bar area that included maple Canyon Creek cabinets in a shaker style with the custom color Temptation and a Cambria Whitehall quartz countertop. The side cabinets hold a beverage cooler and wine refrigerator and the enclosed cabinetry in the center contains other bar accoutrements. New 2” x 10” floating walnut shelves in Chicory stain features the couple’s collection of preferred spirits while a new light over the dining table along with reinstalling the existing carpeting finishes off the space.

Jeramy, a local business owner, now feels comfortable holding small team meetings in this new room and/or to entertain family and friends.
